- चीफ ऑफ डिफेंस स्टाफ जनरल बिपिन रावत का निधन
- तमिलनाडु के कुन्नूर के पास एक हेलीकॉप्टर दुर्घटना में चीफ ऑफ डिफेंस स्टाफ (सीडीएस) जनरल बिपिन रावत का निधन हो गया है। वह उन 14 लोगों में शामिल थे, जो उनकी पत्नी और स्टाफ सदस्यों सहित विमान में सवार थे। इस हादसे में सीडीएस रावत, मधुलिका रावत और 11 अन्य लोगों सहित 13 लोगों की मौत हो गई है। सीडीएस और 9 अन्य यात्रियों को ले जाने वाले 4 सदस्यों के दल के साथ एक आईएएफ एमआई 17 वी5 हेलीकॉप्टर एक दुखद दुर्घटना का शिकार हो गया। विंग कमांडर पृथ्वी सिंह चौहान Mi-17V5 के पायलट थे।

- Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat has died in a helicopter crash near Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. He was among 14 people who were on board the plane, including his wife and staff members. In this accident 13 people including CDS Rawat, Madhulika Rawat and 11 others have died. An IAF Mi 17 V5 helicopter with a crew of 4 carrying CDS and 9 other passengers met with a tragic accident. Wing Commander Prithvi Singh Chauhan was the pilot of Mi-17V5.
- World’s oldest Test cricketer Eileen Ashe passes away
- The world’s oldest Test cricketer, former English legend, Eileen Ashe passed away at the age of 110. The right-arm seamer made his national team debut in 1937 against Australia, and in a career up to 1949, he took 10 wickets in seven. He played the match. His career was interrupted by World War II – he was ranked in the UK intelligence service MI6 – and retired from the sport in 1949.
- City Union Bank and NPCI launch ‘on-the-go’ wearable kitchen
- City Union Bank (CUB) in association with National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and its manufacturing partner Seshasai has announced the launch of RuPay on-the-go contactless wearable keychain for its debit card customers. This contactless wearable keychain will be a part of their daily lifestyle and will enable customers to tap and make cashless payments securely.

- Following the US, Australia has announced a diplomatic boycott of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics over concerns against human rights abuses in Xinjiang, particularly the Uighur minority community. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said the decision should come as “no surprise” that his diplomats and politicians would boycott the event. He said that this decision has been taken in the national interest of Australia. Beijing also has its own diplomatic freeze on Australia, which has led to a boycott of the Games by its officials. The move comes after US President Joe Biden announced that he would not send an official US delegation to the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.

- Olaf Scholz will be sworn in as the new Chancellor of Germany on December 8, 2021. He will replace Acting German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who will step down after ruling for 16 years. She became the first female chancellor of Germany after taking office in 2005. She has been described as the most powerful woman and one of the world’s most successful political leaders. Scholz had previously visited India once in 2012 when he was the mayor of Hamburg. He had visited Delhi and Mumbai during his India tour.

- Indian-origin doctor Anil Menon is among 10 new astronauts recruited for future space missions by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The 45-year-old was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was born to Ukrainian and Indian immigrant parents. He previously served NASA as the crew flight surgeon for various missions aboard the International Space Station (ISS). He is a lieutenant colonel in the US Air Force.
